1. Space dimension and layout

Diameter requirements: The diameter of the center column of the spiral staircase is usually ≥20cm (to ensure stable load bearing), and the overall rotation radius is recommended to be ≥ 1.2m (to avoid collision during walking).
Height limit: height should be ≥2.6 meters (too low easy to produce a sense of depression, and affect the comfort of stepping).
Opening position: Avoid load-bearing walls or beams and columns as far as possible. If you need to embed the wall, confirm the structural safety in advance.

 2. Step parameter optimization

Step height: recommended ≤18cm (ergonomic, reduce fatigue), minimum ≥15cm.
Step depth: outside ≥25cm (to ensure that the foot is fully trampled), inside ≥18cm (minimum).
Number of steps: usually 9-15 levels (adjusted according to the height), ensure that the height error of each level is less than 2mm.

 3. Handrail and rail design
Handrail height: the standard is 85-95cm (children’s families can be reduced to 75cm and equipped with protective nets).
Railing gap: ≤11cm (to prevent children’s head stuck).
Material selection: Glass railing should be tempered laminated glass (strong impact resistance), metal railing is recommended 304 stainless steel (rust prevention).
