1. Spiral stairs structural safety essentials
Load-bearing capacity
It is recommended to use solid steel or high-strength concrete (bearing capacity ≥300kg) for the center column, and avoid pure wood structure.
Step material is preferred to choose steel-wood composite or all-steel structure (solid wood step is easy to deform).
Tilt Angle control
The spiral Angle is recommended between 25°-35° (too steep and easy to fall, too slow to occupy space).
Waterproof and moisture-proof treatment
Drainage slope (slope ≥5%) should be reserved around the stairs of the ground floor, and waterproof paint should be painted.
In wet areas (such as basements), stainless steel or preservative wood is preferred.

2. Attention to construction details
Perpendicularity and flatness
The vertical deviation of the center column of each layer is less than 3mm, and the horizontal error of the step is less than 1.5mm (need to use a laser level to calibrate).
Connection node reinforcement
The connection between the center column and the step should be welded or reinforced with a metal sleeve (to prevent loosening).
Use neutral silicone glue (anti-cracking) at the junction of step and wall.
Lighting design
Install a recessed LED strip (to illuminate the edge of the step) or wall lamp (to avoid shaded areas).
The switch position should be at the beginning and corner of the stairs (easy to use at night).
